The Project Details

County Gutters recently completed a unique and ambitious project in collaboration with Mowtivated, a bespoke landscaping company based in Surrey. The challenge was to bring to life a garden room design that featured an innovative soffit and fascia, inspired by the sleek and dynamic form of an aircraft wing. This required a balance between aesthetics and functionality, ensuring both structural integrity and visual impact.

To achieve the desired look and performance, we used Trueline PPC aluminium fascia and top hat soffit, finished in RAL 9016 Satin. This crisp white finish complemented the clean, modern lines of the garden room while also providing practical shading for the gym and outdoor kitchen areas below.

One of the key challenges was the soffit’s width, which spanned over 1100mm. To maintain its structural integrity and prevent sagging, we incorporated reinforcing ribs into the design. These ribs ensured that the soffit could support its own weight while preserving the sleek, uninterrupted form that was integral to the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the soffit played a crucial role in shading the gym and kitchen area, helping regulate temperature and creating a comfortable environment throughout the day.

The final result was a seamless blend of style and functionality. The aircraft wing-inspired soffit became the centrepiece of the garden room, enhancing the sense of space and light while delivering practical benefits. The reinforcing ribs provided long-term durability, ensuring the soffit remained secure and visually striking. By carefully selecting premium materials and engineering a solution tailored to the client’s needs, County Gutters helped transform this garden room into an elegant and functional outdoor retreat.
