St Mary’s Church
J. M Scully is a well-established, family-owned business that specialises in delivering main contracting services to the retail, commercial, and leisure sectors. For the construction of the new Beacon Centre at St Mary’s Church in Ferndown, Dorset, J. M Scully contracted County Gutters Ltd to provide a complete package of aluminium fascia, rainwater goods, and a zinc roof for the centre. This new building, designed as a drop-in point for the church, required high-quality materials and precision installation to ensure its long-term durability and aesthetic appeal.
After careful consultation with the client and contractors, the project team selected Trueline’s anthracite aluminium fascia for the roofing system. The sleek, modern finish of the anthracite fascia complemented the warm tones of the cedar soffits, creating a striking visual contrast. This combination of materials provided both functional and aesthetic benefits, ensuring that the fascia not only looked great but also stood the test of time, especially given the building's location in a high-traffic area.
To complement the fascia and soffits, black Colonnade rainwater goods were chosen to match the aesthetic of the zinc roof. The Colonnade system provided a seamless, high-performance solution for managing rainwater, ensuring that the building remained protected from water damage while maintaining the visual integrity of the design. The choice of these rainwater goods was carefully made to ensure both durability and functionality in the long run, and they integrated perfectly with the overall design of the Beacon Centre.
