Cast iron gutters are still very popular in Heritage and listed building projects, they have been the guttering choice since Victorian times. Although very heavy and more awkward to install they are still a specified choice for some projects, they are very durable and aesthetically pleasing. When correctly installed and maintained, a minimum life expectancy of 50 years and probably longer can be expected.
