County Gutters undertake many large commercial projects. Our clients include BAE Systems, Honda, Octagon Homes as well as many local authorities and schools. Our quantity surveyors can disseminate from architects plans all relevant information to provide our clients with a detailed quotation.

Risk assessments and method statements are written for each project and a fully updated health and safety policy is in place, copies of which can be supplied.

All staff hold CSCS cards, access platform accreditation and a trained first aider is with each team.

A lot of commercial guttering used to be manufactured in galvanised steel or galvanised covered in Plastisol, over a period of time the galvanising breaks down causing corrosion to take place. On occasions County Gutters are asked to replace asbestos gutters, these were used on commercial buildings in the 1950s. To undertake this we use a specialist contractor to remove the asbestos, once removed we replace with a gutter suitable for the project.

Box Gutters

The box gutter profile is designed for use in commercial and light industrial applications, the size depends on the roof area it has to service, it needs to be capable of handling large quantities of water. A box gutter is usually built into the bottom of the roof by the means of an apron, where it is fixed through the roof and into a steel purlin.

County Gutters can have manufactured and install aluminium box gutters in any size required in mill finish or P.P.C to any colour required.

Valley Gutters

The valley gutter is used where two roofs fall into a valley over a building, it is similar to a box gutter with a large water capacity, it varies in widths and depths depending on the roof area. It usually has an apron either side and is fixed under the roof each side. It is possible to reline these instead of replacing, either option is possible.

County Gutters can reline or replace a valley gutter in aluminium in any length or width requested, mill finish is usually suitable for these as they are rarely in view.

Large Plastic Gutters

These gutters are usually installed as a budget option; they suffer the normal problems any plastic gutter has with movement and shrinkage. Depending on how they are fixed to the building it is not usually a major task to replace them.

County Gutters can replace these in seamless aluminium or extruded deep flow; these will give higher performance and a far longer life expectancy.
